Safety Management System Training Aviation Safety Management System (SMS) Training is conducted either online or onsite for all Flight Department personnel to ensure full participation in the Aviation Safety Management System (SMS). The instructional process is cognitive and experiential. A brief history of the evolution of Aviation Safety Management Systems is presented.An Organizational Development strategy is used to understand the operator's Safety Policy, how the Flight Department is currently managing risks, promoting safety, conducting training, and managing change. Since the Aviation Safety Management System (SMS) is "home grown," Hazard / Risk Identification, Risk Assessment, and Mitigation processes are discussed, developed, and linked to your current processes. Several options for internal auditing are also presented.The importance of safety occurrence and risk reporting is emphasized. Our team will present recommended methods of implementing safety performance monitoring and measurement, audits and surveys, change management processes, continuous improvement processes, training and education, and safety communication. A training certificate is provided upon completion.
