Aquitaine Développement Innovation focuses its activities on the Aquitaine region's flagship industries. As such, it relies on a team of experienced engineers, composed of specialists from different sectors with at least ten years' experience in the industry.The Agency joins forces with all of the region's economic stakeholders and creates industry (and cross-industry) action plans. This array of expertise means that it can also take an active part in structuring new industrial sectors, with the potential to enhance competitiveness, create jobs and make the Aquitaine region even more attractive.

Resulting from a merger between 2ADI and Innovalis, Aquitaine Développement Innovation takes over both agencies' missions with greater transparency, collaboration and efficiency.For 10 years, 2ADI has worked on structuring industries, SMI performance, attracting foreign investors, or even turning around businesses in Aquitaine. In 2005, Innovalis was founded to support innovative business projects, provide guidance for European projects and support start-up businesses in their funding rounds. There was a complementarity to their business and missions. This is why the President of the Region, Alain Rousset, initiated this joint venture which led to the founding of a new organisation end of 2011.For Alain Rousset, "Aquitaine Développement Innovation must lead the region's economic development.
